I am still alive, believe it or not, though I haven't had much of a chance to do art this week (what with college visits and everything). I do have an art project to do this summer, and I thought I'd fill you guys in with what I'm doing because I think it's pretty interesting.
One of the things I want to focus on in my art are *SPACIAL RELATIOINS*, especially people's reaction to space. I'm actually reading this book called the poetics of space which is essentially the phenomenology of "dream houses" or in my case internal landscapes. Its basically philosophy meets architecture! What I'm doing, however, is a focus on the relationship of text on a page.
I'm not sure whether I will only do this digitally, or write it out myself, or somehow find a typewriter. But the idea is that I'll examine the relationship between letters in words, words on a page, along with the meaning of words. I'll be looking at House of Leaves as a piece of art.
Im pretty excited for this project. Since I'm gone for... 6 weeks out of the summer, there's no way I could easily do a painting! ;__; so I must resort to digital art.
OH, RIGHT. If you have words that immediately appeal to you (even if you're not sure why) please let me know, as I'll be dissecting some of them for this project.

Basically exactly how I pictured Colorshock. Sent you a comment before I forget about it. THought you might find it interesting to see the different ideas people come up with.
Except the colour inside is all rainbowy. The viles moreso.
